Joan Carles Peris

Born in A Coruña in 1961, he is a journalist by profession. A graduate in Information Sciences from the UAB, he worked at Diari de Barcelona (1980–1981) and Diari de Terrassa (1982–1983). Later, he was part of the founding team at Catalunya Ràdio, where he worked as a news writer and editor, and also served for a time as the station's Madrid correspondent.

From there, he moved to TV3, specializing in political news and eventually becoming the head of that section. Between 2007 and 2014, he edited and co-anchored the weekend news program Telenotícies cap de setmana alongside Agnès Marquès. In 2014, he became the network's Paris correspondent, a role he held until 2018.

He received the Memorial Candel award for promoting the presence of popular culture during his tenure at Telenotícies cap de setmana.

In 1989, he began collaborating with the Quadre de Veus de Radioteatre (Radio Drama Voices Group) as a scriptwriter and adapter, taking over the role following the death of his father, Rafael Peris.
