In 1947, Joan Llenas brought together a cast of voices and created the "Compañía de Comedias de Radio Terrassa", the first stable group and seed of the current Quadre de Veus de Radioteatre.

"Radio theater, as the name suggests, is meant to be listened to on a radio. That is to say, the entire action of the play is based exclusively on the voice of each character, accompanied, of course, by the corresponding music and sound effects. Radio also relies on a great foundation: the listener's imagination. An imagination that transcends any set, costume, situation, or location where the events take place. If we manage to combine all of this—your imagination and our performance—I'm sure you'll enjoy a pleasant time."

"Ladies and gentlemen: A few years ago, radio stations had one of their most popular programs in the evening radio dramas. Every week, they broadcast a play, and listeners would change stations every night to follow the performance. Around the only radio in the house, huddled by the brazier, at the stroke of midnight, the women would get ready to sew, iron, or knit, while the men, smoking their post-dinner cigarettes, would mock the enthusiasm with which the women of the house settled in to listen to the radio drama. And yet, many times, the men, too, would end up hooked by the plot, reluctantly reaching the end because of the two hours of sleep lost, because back then, people didn't fall asleep in the high chairs of those dining rooms or on the simpler ones at the table. Quite the opposite of today..."

"We believe it is very important to maintain, through the Municipal Radio station, 95.2, one of the oldest elements in the world of radio, which is radio drama. 95.2 becomes the heir to the great tradition that existed in Terrassa with this Voice Ensemble, also historic in the city, historic in the country, and I would venture to say also in Europe."
