Amadeu Aguado

Amadeu Aguado i Moreno was born in Terrassa in 1960. He began his teacher training studies while simultaneously working as an administrative assistant and commercial technician.

In 1986, at the age of 26, he made a radical career shift, dedicating himself fully to the profession he still pursues today: voice actor. He has participated in hundreds of audiovisual productions—primarily in Catalan—and is noted for his versatility. He has dubbed a multitude of characters across all types of films, including many iconic roles such as Nappa in "Dragon Ball", Blai in "Sesame Street", Tinky Winky in "Teletubbies", T.J. in "S.W.A.T.", Winston in "Ghostbusters", Gold Roger in "One Piece", Reginald Smith in "Chicken Run", Silas in "Despicable Me", and Padre Arrupe in "Los Aitas", among many others; he has also provided voiceovers and narration for various documentaries.

Alongside his professional career, he has long been an avid enthusiast of the sardana dance and theater, particularly amateur theater. As a teenager, he began dancing sardanas in competitive troupes—an activity he resumed a few years ago with a veterans' group that participates in championships and contests across the country. He has collaborated with various local sardana organizations, notably ASERT, and in his youth, he worked on writing and producing interviews and scripts for the Contrapunt program on Radio Terrassa alongside the late Lidia Segués.

In the realm of popular culture, he is also a member of the trabucaire (blunderbuss-wielding) group "Els Federins, Trabucaires de Terrassa i la Creu Alta". Regarding theater, he has primarily worked at "El Social", where he served as director of Els Pastorets for nine years. He has premiered several plays that he authored or co-authored. In 1994, he was a finalist for the prestigious Santos Antolí Memorial Theater Prize.

He served as president of "El Social" from 2001 to 2007, the year he was invited by then-mayor Pere Navarro to run on the PSC municipal ticket as an independent candidate. Highlights of his political career—which, by his own admission, lasted longer than anticipated—include his twelve years as a city councilor and Deputy Mayor for Culture, his time as Vice President of the County Council, and his presidency of the Center for Linguistic Normalization, among many other roles and responsibilities.
