Ramon Bravo, a historic voice of our Radio Drama, has died

In the early hours of Friday, February 26th, our colleague, friend, and mentor Ramon Bravo passed away at the age of 87. His death leaves us without a magnificent voice, diction, and acting talent.
Ramon Bravo was born in 1928 in Cervera (Lleida). At just 20 years old, he was already one of the leading actors in the Radio Drama Group of Ràdio Terrassa EAJ-25, and he soon joined the station's staff. He became the star of "Inspector Hamilton," a police series that garnered a large following and was a huge success in its time. For a while, he also took on the responsibility of directing the Radio Drama Group, until 1961, the year he left the station.
Ramon Bravo returned to radio in 1983, when the radio drama group reunited. From then on, he became a regular actor, preserving his voice and talent. Aside from his great creation of the character of "El Inspector Hamilton"—of which, sadly, no recording survives—his performances in "L'Hostal de la Glòria," "Pigmalió," "Dotze homes sense pietat," "Don Juan Tenorio," "Yerma," "Sólo dos vidas," and "La sentencia se cumnplirá a las doce" are also fondly remembered.
His voice and his memory will always be with us. Rest in peace, friend.
