When in 1931, "Radio Club Terrassa" announces 3rd devices and applications for radio Competition, Joan Dalmau won the prize. Later, he appointed technical manager of the station, and from 1942 until 1960, he took charge of the technical direction. It was during these years that many technical improvements were introduced, among which the construction of the broadcast center of Can Boada. He was also one of those responsible for the technical direction of the radio theater performances theater group in the first stage during the decade of 1950.
Being one of the first 25 members of the station, in 1953, he was named an Honorary Member on the occasion of celebration of 25 years of Radio Terrassa.

In 1961, Spanish Radio and TV Gemeral Management Office thought that seven Lorca's scripts were 'not allowed for broadcasting' because its content and were forbiden until 1977. Some of those scripts were rhe three gold Lorca pieces: 'Yerma', 'Bodas de sangre' and 'La casa de Bernarda Alba'.
